"Hive, a Young Enterprise Company" won The Best Social Enterprise Signature Award presented by Microsoft Malta during the HSBC Company of the Year Awards Night. The Maltese team was made up of 5 students: Daryl Azzopardi, Rebbecca Camenzuli, Hannah Formosa, Christine Pillow, and Sarah Rosso. The Team's Link Teacher was Ms Karen Buttigieg, and Mr Andre Aguis was their Business Advisor throughout the process of the programme.

JA-YE Malta runs the Social Enteprirse Company (SEP) as part of the Company Programme (CP). Through the Company Programme, students learn how to take a business idea from concept to reality. Students aged 15-18 form their own real enterprise and discover first-hand how a company functions. They elect a board of directors from amongst their peers, raise share capital, market, and finance a product or service of their own choice. At the end of the programme they present a report and accounts to their shareholders and compete for the coveted title, ' The HSBC Company of the Year'.

Young social entrepreneurs from the team ‘Auxilium’ in Macedonia won the 2015 ‘Best Social Enterprise Award’ European Competition based on their social enterprise concept. The team started running a canteen in the centre of Skopje, which provides warm meals for homeless individuals 12 hours a day. By receiving donations from local markets and bakeries the students are able to give back, while supporting their local community.
